Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sage Intacct Sales Leader to drive growth and market expansion across South Africa and key territories in Africa. You will be responsible for executing the Sage Intacct sales strategy, leading high-performing teams, and working closely with our Business Partner (BP) ecosystem to accelerate customer acquisition and retention.
Location – 3 days per week out of our Johannesburg office.

Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth
Own and exceed revenue targets for Sage Intacct across South Africa and the Africa region.
Lead the execution of a comprehensive sales strategy focused on new business acquisition and customer migrations from existing Sage platforms.
Drive consistent pipeline generation, opportunity progression, and deal closure in alignment with business objectives.
Partner Ecosystem Management
Collaborate with the Business Partner sales force to manage pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and win strategies.
Ensure strong BP engagement through regular communication, joint planning, and performance reviews.
Uphold discounting and commercial policies across all partner engagements.
Operational Excellence & Sales Enablement
Ensure the team is equipped with the skills, tools, and certifications required to deliver against Sage Intacct goals.
Provide guidance on best-in-class sales processes and methodologies to maximize channel effectiveness.
Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs and performance trends.
Team Development & Leadership
Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team aligned with the region’s strategic ambitions.
Set clear KPIs, manage performance reviews, and foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and collaboration.
Provide strong leadership in ambiguous or evolving business contexts, ensuring agility and resilience.
Strategic Planning & Execution
Support the development and execution of regional marketing and go-to-market strategies.
Lead the delivery of critical projects and initiatives, ensuring on-time execution and effective stakeholder engagement.
Identify market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to refine strategy and identify new opportunities.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate cross-functionally with pre-sales, marketing, operations, finance, and global teams to drive regional alignment.
Build lasting relationships with key customers, partners, and internal stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Must-Have:
5–7+ years of sales leadership experience in the software or SaaS industry, with demonstrated success managing multi-disciplinary teams.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding ambitious sales targets in dynamic, competitive markets.
Deep understanding of the partner/channel sales model, including experience with contracts, deal structuring, and negotiation.
Strong business acumen with a data-driven approach to forecasting, reporting, and planning.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Experience operating within a matrixed organization.
Solid understanding of enterprise systems and business processes.
Strong problem-solving abilities and composure under pressure.
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capabilities and a passion for customer success.
Inspirational leadership style with a positive, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset.
Preferred:
Prior experience in the ERP or Financial Management Software space.
Familiarity with the African market landscape, including regulatory, economic, and cultural dynamics.
Track record of successfully launching or scaling new product lines or regions.
