Duties:
Reportng directly to the Manager: Technical Services, the incumbent will perform the following dues:
Manage operaons and maintenance rural water
Ensure the provision of an efficient, reliable and effecverural water supply and maintenance service to municipal area
Manage staff within the division
Provide supervision, training, capacity building, technical support and guidance to staff Manage the division’s budget
Perform administrave funcons by subming council reports, stascs, compiling tender documents,processing of payment cerficates
Liaise with the public, other municipal departments and government sectordepartments
Quality control and monitoring of projects
Manage and maintain water and services funcon
Develop, plan, implement and drive water operaonal strategies
Assist with relevant technical designs,information and support
Ensure that the relevant water analysis are done
Ensure that the municipalitycomplies with the Blue Drop specificaons
Ensure compliance with the relevant Water Acts and regulatory frameworks
Perform any other reasonable task.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree / BTech in Water Care/Civil Engineering/ Community Water and Sanitation or equivalent.
A certificate in project management will be an added advantage.
5 years of experience which 3 years in a technician posion.
