Minimum Requirements
Matric / NTC3
Qualified Instrument Artisan – trade tested
PLC and Scada experience
Minimum of 5 years’ instrumentation experience
Duties and Responsibilities
Attend to instrumentation breakdowns daily
Be available for electrical and or instrumentation when required as per department schedule
Responsible for Scada fault finding
Perform PC fault finding
Ensure that all legal and statutory inspections on all instrumentation available in the plant is done
Do minor PLC programming
Plan daily duties through the job card and system to ensure that daily work is prioritised
Maintain all deluge instrumentation systems
Plan and prioritize daily work through a job card system (SAP)
Be available for electrical/instrumentation standby as per department schedule
Train and supervise junior employees when required
Operate within parameters of the OHSA
Provide input to in-house safety meetings
Control and maintain all Quality Systems
