Purpose of Job
This individual will execute Hired Equipment compliance verifications & audits to verify if Suppliers’ hired equipment complies to legal and Sasol minimum specifications. The incumbent requires technical skills, qualifications and experience specifically in equipment quality assurance, document control, collaboration and basic audit execution requirements.
To ensure that the technical QA/QC fields of expertise are executed safely and according to the specifications and agreed scope of work, i.e. quantity and quality of equipment delivered.
Maintain current RM: HE (Resource Management, Hired Equipment) Safety standard, and compliance to all safety requirements.
Verify that hired equipment complies with the commercial contract, and RM: HE work instruction.
Provide advice and guidance to Business partners in areas of technical fields, including scope of work facilitation.
Build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
Execute the RM: HE Hub model principles for shutdown and maintenance support requirements.
Identify and advise End users regarding potential savings and/or cost avoidance opportunities (UVP – unique value proposition).
Support achievement of RM: HE SCOT (Safety, Compliant, On-Time and in full) compliance with all deliveries.
Provide support with Supplier Safety and Technical Accreditation (new and periodic surveillance assessments).
Key Accountabilities
Delivery targets
Checking adherence to schedule (on-.time delivery and demobilisation)
Facilitate hand-over of equipment from Supplier to End user
Quality results
Documentation control and accurate reporting
Ensure all equipment comply to RM: HE minimum standards and legal requirements (e.g. COC’s)
Cost awareness and control
Support with ad-hoc scope of work facilitation and understanding of available RM: HE equipment
SHER targets
Ensuring that safety precautions are observed by Suppliers, and/or 3rd party sub-contractors
Active participation in RCA’s (Root cause analysis)
Policies, practices, standards, procedure and methods: application and compliance
Ensure adherence to RM: HE work instructions, processes and controls
Working relationship with customers
Resolution of customer complaints (technical)
Maintain good relationships and formal stakeholder engagement/s
Manager and team relationship
Working closely in a diverse team
Engage in constructive collaboration
Formal Education
Grade 12 with Maths and Science or N3 with Maths, Science and English
S4 Diploma (wish)
Working Experience
Artisan – Mechanical or Electrical preferred and/or:
3+ relevant years’ experience as a QA/QC,
2 years Sasol Hub-related Quality Assurance experience on industrial equipment commodities.
A valid driver’s licence.
