Minimum Qualification / Requirements:
Studying towards a Health & Safety related qualification
Willing to learn and be trained
Administrative skills and Microsoft knowledge
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take initiative
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):
Assist with Safety Inductions and toolbox talks
Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act and other applicable legislations
Ensure compliance with the NEM Act
Learn how to identify hazards and risks in the workplace
To be part of the drafting and review Committee for COP’S
Submit Safety documents to be loaded on the SHEQ system
Assist with drafting Legal Appointments
Assist with accident and incident investigations
To be part of the Health and Safety committee meetings
Learn how to conduct internal and external audits
Assist employees with occupational health and safety matters
Assist the Safety Officer with visual inspections
To report near misses, incidents and accidents
