Skill Set

Experience with Linux and Oracle development, this will be a requirement for team members who will be based in Race Coast. 
Basic understanding of system monitoring, QA methodologies, and software development life cycle (SDLC). 
Understanding of Development and Operations principles (automation, CI/CD, monitoring, collaboration) (Advantageous).
Familiarity with AIOps concepts and observability tools (Dynatrace, Grafana, Elastic, Prometheus) preferred (Advantageous).
Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills with keen attention to detail.
Keen interest in learning technical concepts.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and thrive in a fast-paced, regulated gambling/software environment.
Ability to be flexible and capable of adapting and offering support across various departments and product teams.

Responsibilities

Operations & Monitoring (Development & Operations / AIOps)

Monitor system and application performance using observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Grafana, Elastic, Prometheus).
Support automated deployments, continuous monitoring, and operational workflows.
Apply AIOps techniques (ML-driven alerting, anomaly detection) to enhance reliability and reduce false positives.
Participate in proactive health checks and contribute to incident prevention.

Quality Assurance (QA)

Perform functional, regression, and integration testing of software applications.
Validate deployments in CI/CD pipelines, ensuring releases meet quality and compliance standards.
Document and track defects, collaborating with development and product teams on resolution.

Requirements & Functional Analysis

Gather, document, and validate functional and operational requirements from stakeholders.
Assist in analyzing business and technical processes to identify efficiency and automation opportunities.
Support documentation of workflows, requirements, and operational playbooks.

Project & Process Support

Assist in coordinating small projects and operational initiatives within Agile/Development & Operations frameworks.
Contribute to process reviews, recommending improvements to optimize delivery.
Support alignment of operational activities with business and product objectives.

Service Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement

Act as a point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring smooth collaboration across teams.
Support service delivery management by tracking tasks, follow-ups, and resolutions.
Build product knowledge to act as a subject matter contact for internal queries.

Incident Management

Assist in incident detection, triage, escalation, and communication.
Contribute to root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
Document incident timelines, lessons learned, and recommendations for prevention.

Reporting & Documentation Support

Assist with generating system performance and incident reports under guidance.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of monitoring tools, procedures, and knowledge bases.
Support compliance by developing strong reporting and record-keeping practices.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
