Nongoma Local Municipality is located in the centre of northern KwaZulu-Natal. It is one of the five local municipalities of the Zululand District Municipality and has three traditional authorities, named Mandlakazi, Usuthu and Matheni. It is the only area in the world which has six Royal Palaces
REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration or Relevant Degree, Honours Degree will be an added advantage
Computer literacy
Code EB driver’s license
5-7 years’ administration experience, and at least 2 years at supervisory level

Direction Setting -The ability to create a clear sense of common purpose and vision for others with a view to obtaining buy in and commitment to the goals of the unit.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifies with the broad Corporate Administrative strategy and, defines/ addresses critical functional requirements to support the Corporate Services departmental objectives.
Manages the key corporate functional areas of Council Support and Records management sections.
Directs and controls outcomes associated with utilization, productivity and performance of personnel within the section
Develops, review and implement functional policies
Manages the functioning and document management of specific decision-making processes associated with meetings of council, executive and other committees of Council
Manages administration processes associated with vacancies and appointment on Council
Manages the implementation of an organization wide system for the management of diverse range of records
