Minimum Requirements
Grade 10/Standard 8 Technical qualification (Essential/Minimum)
AET Level 4 (Essential/Minimum)
Skills Program: AA Fitting inc Machinery (Essential/Minimum or)
Skills Program: AA Diesel Mechanic (Essential/Minimum or)
Skills Program: AA Plater Welder (Essential/Minimum or)
Skills Program: AA Electrical (Essential/Minimum)
One year of technical support experience in a heavy industry environment (Essential/Minimum)
Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
Basic fault-finding and analytical skills
Capability to conduct first-level inspections of mechanical and electrical equipment
Adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations
Basic skills in welding, cutting, and refractory installation
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist artisans in servicing, maintenance, and overhaul of equipment, ensuring machinery operates smoothly.
Conduct first-level inspections and basic fault finding on mechanical and electrical equipment.
Support maintenance of production equipment, ensuring all machinery is continuously maintained and repairs are executed timely to prevent breakdowns.
Engage in reconditioning specified components and spares for installation, ensuring repaired equipment is tested for functionality before use.
Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, promoting good housekeeping and addressing unsafe practices promptly.
Contribute to creating a safe work environment by wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and adhering to Safety Health Environment and Community requirements.
Respond swiftly to breakdowns, restoring equipment availability and reliability, and reporting issues to supervisory staff.
Perform tasks such as basic welding, cutting, and installation of refractory work under appropriate guidance.
Demonstrate excellent collaboration with team members, respecting diverse backgrounds and approaches, while focusing on safety and ethical behavior.
Maintain flexibility and agility in responding to business needs, embrace continuous learning, and apply innovative solutions to enhance operational excellence.
