KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Internal Process
Maintain a list and records of all authorizations, permits, licenses, certifications and regulatory approvals for the Necsa Group, monitor expiration and ensure timeous submissions for renewals where applicable.
Develop and maintain a system/database of all commitments and obligations with regulators and liaise with responsible departments to ensure committed timelines are met
Maintain a legal register for the organisation and inform relevant departments on key updates and develop a tool to monitor and report on implementation of changes in the statutory requirements and best practices so that Necsa internal system requirements remain relevant, and the organisation maintains compliance
Co-maintain a compliance matrix with Legal and liaise with relevant departments within the Group as well as regulatory authorities to ensure the compliance status and dashboard of the organisation is up to date
Ensure that priority submissions both to and from the regulator are included in facility and regulatory coordination / management committee meetings and communication.
Consolidate review of international and national standards and guidelines performed by various specialist and record the impact and track to closure inclusion in Necsa processes.
Manage and maintain a quality management system for the licensing and regulatory management department in compliance with ISO 9001, RD0034 and Necsa system requirements as applicable
Facilitate processes for internal reviews and trending of the departmental performance against organisational expectations and facilitate processes for development of improvement plans
Act as secretariat in the relevant operational and stakeholder liaison meetings including 0800 processes and track execution of identified actions.
Maintain the licensing individual development plans, SQEP process and skills retention plans and maintain records as applicable and identify gaps for line management action.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining the authorisation management system.
Customer service
Monitor, track and provide support to projects regarding regulatory conditions, commitments and target dates to assist with the management of regulatory correspondence within the target date and deliverable commitments.
Identify and address trends or recurring issues in authorisation compliance.
Support internal awareness programmes on authorisation governance and regulatory obligations.
Facilitate engagements with Facilities on authorisation requirements for current and planned activities.
Monitor customer satisfaction and facilitate processes to identify improvement actions
Learning and Growth
Engage with national and international peers to share and grow knowledge based to integrate these best and improved practices Licensing.
Keep abreast with regulatory and industry developments and identify interventions where applicable
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
BSc Degree Engineering, Science, Safety, or Regulatory Compliance, law or equivalent
NQF Level 7
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
5 years’ experience in support of managing authorisations
