QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

A relevant three-year degree
A postgraduate qualification in Accounting and/or Auditing

Professional registration as one of the following:

Chartered Accountant (CA(SA))
Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must demonstrate:

A minimum of eight (8) years’ relevant experience in two or more of the following areas and at least 5 years senior management experience in any of two of the following areas:

Financial Management

Internal Audit
External Audit
Corporate Governance

Risk Management

In-depth knowledge and practical application of:
The Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)

National Treasury Regulations

Applicable accounting standards (e.g., GRAP, IFRS)
Proven experience in engaging with Audit and/or Risk Committees
A demonstrated track record of service on an Audit Committee and/or Board of Directors
Experience within the aviation sector will be an added advantage
