Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Chef who has a good understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) principles to join our team. As a Junior Chef with strong HSE knowledge, you will be responsible for assisting in all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in food preparation, cooking, and plating dishes in accordance with set recipes and standards
Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations and guidelines in the kitchen
Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure safe operation
Keep work areas clean and sanitized at all times
Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food safety
Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a professional kitchen or culinary school training
Strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) principles and practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Valid food handler’s certification is preferred
