Key Responsibility Areas
Formulates strategic plans and direction for the Department.
Implements an effective Communication Management strategy by fostering close liaison with the media and establishing communication channels with the general public.
Develops an effective Marketing strategy to promote eThekwini Transport Authority as a brand.
Plans, controls and coordinates advertising and promotions.
Establishes effective stakeholder relations and management.
Directs and controls outcomes associated with utilization, productivity and performance of personnel within the department.
Ensures that secure, integrated software application systems and operational infrastructure is provided for the Unit.
Keeps abreast with emerging technologies to provide a leading edge and effective business information systems.
Essential Requirements
Bachelors Degree (NQF Level 7) in Marketing or Communications or Public Relations or Journalism or any other related and equivalent qualification.
Valid motor vehicle driving license.
8 years relevant experience of which 3 years must be at a senior management level.
Computer Literacy.
Preferred Requirements
Post graduate qualification (NQF Level 8) in Marketing or Communications or Public Relations or Journalism or any other related and equivalent qualification.
9 years relevant experience of which 4 years must be at a senior management level.
