Job Purpose    

The Western Cape Mobility Department, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to manage the activities of the Division Motor Vehicle Registration and Licensing, in terms of the Provincial Registration Authority (PRA), applications in terms of capturing of data for applications for sensitive transactions (transactions with a high risk of fraud and corruption), provincial helpdesk functions relating to the provincial call centre, the provincial walk-in centre, applications for special license numbers and all other motor vehicle administration related applications. The successful incumbent must be able to work under pressure, willingness to work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines.

Minimum Requirements    

An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 3-years supervisory experience in a vehicle licensing and driver regulation and standards working environment; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence.

Knowledge of the following: legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices that have a bearing on the line functions; National Road Traffic Act, 1996; Western Cape Provincial Road Traffic Administration Act, 2012; Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), 1999, National Treasury Regulations and Provincial Treasury Instructions; National Road Traffic Regulations, 2000.
