Requirements for this position include:

For appointment at Lecturer level:

A PhD in the field of inorganic chemistry, followed by at least 2 years of postdoctoral experience in a research environment.
A research track record that demonstrates experience and productivity in the field.

Advantageous at Lecturer level:

Success in securing external research funding.
Some university level teaching experience in inorganic chemistry.
Some post graduate supervision experience.

For appointment at Senior Lecturer Level:

A PhD in the field of inorganic chemistry, followed by at least 2 years of postdoctoral experience in a research environment.
Experience in teaching inorganic chemistry at undergraduate level and an ability to contribute to course development.
Supervision of postgraduate students at Honours, Masters and/or PhD level;
A research track record that demonstrates experience and productivity in the field (publication in peer reviewed inorganic chemistry journals as senior author)
Success in securing external research funding.
Contributions to administration management and leadership.

Advantageous at Senior Lecturer level:

Evidence of Social responsiveness and Engaged Scholarship.
Evidence of international networks.

Responsibilities include:

Develop a strong research programme, in inorganic chemistry.
Develop and teach courses at an appropriate level, in the sub-discipline of inorganic chemistry at both introductory and senior undergraduate level (including service courses) and deliver specialist lectures at the Honours (4th year) level.
Supervise Honours, MSc and PhD, students, as appropriate.
Contribute to the administration of the Department at an appropriate level, and Faculty of Science through committee work.
