Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) is a paid Business-to-Business (B2B) service that helps strategic brands partner with Amazon to grow their business.
As an Associate Account Manager, you will gain 360-degree exposure to all areas of e-commerce at Amazon, owning the relationship with your brands and structuring short and long-term strategies oriented at brand growth and customer satisfaction. You will act as a consultant driving selection and promotional activities, monitor and work on success metrics daily, and ensure the brand’s experience with AVS demonstrates our customer obsession.
You will work with cross-functional stakeholders including Category Management, Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing, developing your skills and accelerating your career within a global leader in e-commerce.
Key job responsibilities
Core Service & Analytics: Use deep data analytics to identify industry opportunities and provide recommendations to improve overall business performance through Amazon programs
Availability & Operational Excellence: Drive Supply Chain initiatives by reducing costs, defects, and lead times while managing stock in fulfilment centers
Promotion & Funding: Recommend marketing and advertising campaigns, plan and manage promotional activities for Amazon events (Prime Day, Black Friday), and work with Amazon
Advertising on brand opportunities
Selection & IDQ: Grow selection by managing new product launches, improving discoverability, identifying product gaps, onboarding new ASINs, and enhancing the customer journey (detail page optimization, competitor benchmarking)
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strategic relationships with brand partners, conducting regular business reviews and performance deep dives
Basic Qualifications
Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
NQF level 7 with a minimum of 1 years’ working experience in either of the following areas: Account Management, Sales, Buying, Project Management, Supply Chain, or Consulting
NQF Level 6 with a minimum of 3 years’ working experience in either of the following areas: Account Management, vendor management Sales, Buying, Project Management, Supply Chain, or Consulting.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree
Experience within e-commerce or Retail fields
Experience in data querying or modeling with SQL, Excel
