An established vehicle dealership in East London is seeking a hardworking, organized and methodical Accounts Administrator to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the full account’s function and ensuring accurate, timeous financial processing.
Applicants are required to strictly meet the following criteria:
Grade 12 minimum with 3–5 years’ experience in an accounting or finance administration role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and processes
Experience working on accounting software plus MS Excel (essential)
Attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Time management and ability to work under pressure
Team player with ability to work in an open-plan office environment
Reliable, professional and dependable
The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:
Processing debtors and creditors transactions
Performing account reconciliations (debtors, creditors and general ledger)
Processing journals accurately and timeously
Managing petty cash, banking and daily receipting
Loading EFT payments and managing online banking functions
Handling account queries and resolving discrepancies
Supporting inter-department, inter-branch communication and follow-ups
Assisting with stock counts and related administration
General office administration duties
Providing switchboard relief for approximately one hour once a week
Ensuring accurate filing and maintenance of all financial records
