Purpose of the role:
This role offers the opportunity to lead a key Weir ESCO operation with full ownership of performance, people, and customer outcomes. As Branch Manager in Middelburg, you will shape strategy, drive growth, and make a visible impact in a business that values accountability and initiative.
You’ll work closely with customers in a critical mining region while leading a capable, experienced team. It’s an opportunity for a hands‑on leader to grow a business and their career within a global organisation.
What you’ll do:
Effective management of all aspects of the branch to ensure achievement of revenue targets.
Develop and implement sales strategy and plan to support the achievement of revenue targets.
Provide technical and other support to District Managers and Customers.
Ensure effective use of sales systems in the territory.

What you’ll bring
Must-haves:
Relevant National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Mining Operations, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the mining industry, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of the local mining industry is essential, including understanding of customer operations and site requirements.
Demonstrated technical familiarity with Mining GET, dragline rigging, and chains, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a commercial and operational environment. Strong knowledge of the local coal mining industry.
Proven leadership capability with experience managing operational teams, contractors, and customer interfaces in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
Sound commercial and financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, cost control, and P&L accountability at branch or operational level.
Nice-to-haves:
ESCO product knowledge.
Salesforce knowledge.
