Job Description:

As the Client Service Representative, you will report directly to the Internal Sales Manager and be responsible for the critical link between customers and the organisation—ensuring that accounts are effectively managed, customer needs are understood and met, and internal teams are aligned to deliver high-quality products and services on time and to standard.

To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following minimum requirements: 

Act as the primary point of contact for accounts and day-to-day client service inquiries.
Build, maintain, and grow strong, long-term customer relationships through consistent engagement and service excellence.
Maintain an active oversight of accounts, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and sustainable growth.
Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally, escalating where necessary to ensure resolution.
Prepare for and participate in Level 2 client meetings where required.
Keep abreast of market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
Achieve growth targets and sales objectives through effective account management and collaboration with sales coordinators.
Understand ideal customer profiles and how they align with company products and services.
Process sales orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy, quality standards, and agreed deadlines are met.
Maintain regular communication with clients regarding order status, lead times, and delivery schedules.
Liaise closely with production, logistics, and external sales teams to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.
Provide timely and accurate information to internal sales coordinators and relevant departments.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, features, and benefits.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activity, and account information.
Comply fully with Quality and Food Safety Management Systems, including policies, SOPs, and work instructions.
Maintain a clean-as-you-go work practice.
Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.

Work experience and other skills

Minimum: Matric or higher
Minimum: 1 to 4 years internal sales experience (advantageous)
Manufacturing environment: 3 to 4 years
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Result-orientated mindset
Valid Driver’s licence
Knowledge of printing and production flow
Sales and Customer Interaction
Understanding of customer service and order-to-delivery workflows
