Position Purpose
Gartner describes effective BCoE’s as, “…concentrating existing expertise and resources in a discipline or capability to attain and sustain world-class performance and value.
The TNPA BCoE will strive to ensure that TNPA implements a continuous improvement mindset and delivers on its mandate. This involves the enhancement of entity level controls and management reviews to ensure quality is delivered throughout the organization and thereby facilitating the achievement of TNPA’s strategic goals.
The BCoE will also seek to enable upskilling and development of all TNPA employees to sustain organisation enhancements.
The TNPA BCoE will be located at the TNPA Head Office Finance department but will render a service transversally across TNPA.
The establishment of the BCoE operating unit within the Finance department will:
Have the capability to provide support to up skilling employees in relevant areas;
Ensure that TNPA complies to set norms, standards and best practices;
Perform quality control functions; and
Scrutinize and establish patterns and tends of areas requiring systemic attention by TNPA.
Position Outputs
Expediting the process of consideration and approvals of submissions through enhanced quality control. clearing house for submissions to any governance structures.
Performing financial due diligences.
Develop appropriate policies and procedures to manage and provide assurance on the integrity of TNPA processes.
Preparations and or reviewal of business cases.
Technical quality control on all business cases, commercial proposals, any submissions to various governance structures
Establishment of patterns and trends to develop systemic solutions to manifested weaknesses.
Reviewing Financial, IT and Operations and recommend best practices.
Create queries and reports to support ongoing monitoring of initiatives as well as ad-hoc reports as required. Develop key recovery metrics Perform data manipulation and analysis using tools such as Power BI, ACL, SAS, SQL and MS-Access. Analyse data/reports to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.
Create executive level reporting with 100% accuracy and advanced level presentation.
Benchmarking best practice and transplanting thereof.
Providing training, mentoring and coaching of staff members in the various roles in order to strengthen the delivery capacity of the TNPA system, as a whole.
Qualifications and Experience
CA(SA) ➢MBA qualification (Added advantage) At least 10-15 years’ experience in an operational, commercial or financial environment.
