Growth and Performance Partnerships Lead (Merchants)

We’re building a Commerce Media capability that helps our merchants grow by connecting them to high-intent customers across our ecosystem and digital channels. This role sits at the centre of that ambition. You will work directly with merchants to design, commercialise, and deliver marketing initiatives that drive measurable sales outcomes, combining platform-led opportunities with broader digital marketing strategies. This is a commercial, client-facing role that requires both strong sales capability and a solid understanding of digital marketing and campaign performance.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Merchant Growth & Commercial Development

Engage merchants to understand their:

Growth objectives
Target customers
Marketing budgets
Develop and present tailored marketing solutions that drive measurable business outcomes
Identify opportunities to expand and deepen existing merchant engagement over time
Own the full commercial lifecycle:
Opportunity identification → proposal → agreement → delivery oversight

Campaign Strategy & Solution Design

Recommend how merchants should approach marketing across:

Platform-led channels (in-app, CRM, owned channels)
External paid media channels
Advise on:
Campaign structure
Channel mix
Budget allocation
Translate marketing activity into clear commercial outcomes

Digital Marketing & Performance Insight

Apply working knowledge of:

Paid media (e.g. Meta, Google, display)
Campaign funnels and targeting approaches
Confidently interpret and discuss:
Cost per click (CPC)
Click-through rates (CTR)
Conversion rates
Return on investment (ROI / ROAS)
Guide merchants in making informed, performance-driven decisions

Relationship Management & Advisory

Build strong, long-term partnerships with merchants
Act as a trusted advisor, not just a supplier
Proactively identify opportunities for:
Enhanced campaign performance
Increased investment
Broader participation across available marketing initiatives

Performance & Continuous Improvement

Monitor campaign performance and outcomes
Translate results into actionable insights
Use performance data to inform future recommendations and drive merchant growth

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with internal teams to:
Deliver campaigns effectively
Ensure alignment between commercial objectives and execution

What We’re Looking For

Experience

5+ years in a mix of:
Digital marketing or performance marketing
Media / advertising sales or partnerships
Retail, e-commerce, or marketplace environments

You must have:

Experience working with merchants or clients
Experience advising on or managing marketing spend

Skills & Capability

Strong commercial and sales ability
Solid understanding of:
Paid media channels
Campaign performance metrics

Ability to:

Structure solutions (not just sell products)
Translate marketing into commercial impact
Comfortable engaging both:
Commercial stakeholders
Marketing teams
