We are seeking a Litigation Secretary for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
Grade 12 with good typing skills (Dictaphone) and MS Office ability
2 years’ experience in a legal firm in a similar role – exposure to magistrates court, regional court and high court ideal
Able to work under pressure with accuracy and accountability
Strong attention to detail and organised with good communication skills
Ghostpractice experience ideal, but can be trained
The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:
Dictaphone typing
Managing Attorney diary and making appointments
Taking phone calls and messages
Dealing with clients
Following up on outstanding accounts
Preparing court documents and letters
Preparing Bills of Costs and Statements of Account (Legal billing)
