PURPOSE OF POSITION
To ensure the smooth operation of all maintenance duties are fulfilled promptly and efficiently.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Plumbing repairs and maintenance.
Electrical work.
Painting and surface finishing.
General repairs of furniture and equipment.
Performing various general duties as assigned.
Willingness to work standby shifts as needed.
COMPETENCIES (The following will be advantageous)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
(Educational Qualifications & Experience)
Grade 12 Certificate.
Proficient computer literate.
Ability to effectively communicate with hospital staff.
Valid drivers license
SKILLS
(Practical & Technical)
Basic Handyman skills
Basic Plumbing, painting skills
Basic electrical and mechanical repairs
HVAC maintenance
Tool handling and physically fit
Preventative maintenance
Communicate effectively with all staff regarding maintenance issues
Reading and completing technical documentation
