About the job
We’re looking to add a People Champion to our Journey team. You will play a key role in supporting and guiding Retro Rabbit’s people throughout their journey in the business. Acting as a trusted partner to their Rabbits, People Champions focus on creating a positive employee experience by supporting onboarding, engagement, performance conversations, and professional development.
This role is centered around building strong relationships, understanding individual strengths and aspirations, and helping Rabbits grow within the organization. People Champions works closely with the Journey Team Lead, delivery teams, and leadership to ensure Rabbits feel supported, connected, and set up for success on their projects and within the broader Retro Rabbit community.
The ideal candidate is empathetic, organized, and proactive, with a genuine passion for people development, workplace culture, and creating environments where individuals and teams can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Lifecycle Management:
Own the pre-boarding and onboarding process for their Rabbits, ensuring all touchpoints—including welcome gifts, first-day experiences, introductions, office tours, icebreakers, and FAQs—are executed seamlessly and consistently.
Manage the performance review process for their Rabbits, ensuring fairness, accuracy, and timely follow-up.
Lead progression discussions for their Rabbits, supporting career development and succession planning.
Conduct regular monthly check-ins with their Rabbits to monitor engagement, address concerns, and provide guidance.
Training, Development & Mentoring:
Manage and enhance the mentoring program for their Rabbits, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and career support.
Define and support the delivery of training and employee development programs for their Rabbits, collaborating with the Journey Team Lead and fellow People Champions.
Lead internal knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, and learning initiatives to enhance skill development across their Rabbits.
Coach their Rabbits on career goal setting, professional growth, and personal development plans.
Employee Engagement & Culture:
Act as an ambassador for Retro Rabbit’s culture, values, and internal initiatives, promoting engagement among their Rabbits.
Plan and support team interventions, engagement activities, and internal events to drive cohesion, morale, and inclusivity within their Rabbits.
Support their Rabbits in building strong relationships across the organization and actively promote participation in culture-building initiatives.
Resource & Project Alignment:
Assist with resource allocation by collaborating with Delivery and senior leadership to align their Rabbits’ goals, skills, and strengths with suitable projects.
Identify high-performing and underperforming Rabbits, collaborating with leadership to determine appropriate interventions and development opportunities.
Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
Maintain and update employee management platforms for their Rabbits to ensure accurate records and data integrity.
Collect, analyze, and report data for their Rabbits to support decision-making, monitor engagement, and track the effectiveness of initiatives.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of all employee journey processes and programs for their Rabbits.
Programs & Special Initiatives:
Manage and support the Annual Graduate Programme for their Rabbits, ensuring smooth coordination, engaging workshops, and a positive overall experience.
Support student engagement initiatives, university partnerships, and other talent-attraction programs relevant to their Rabbits.
Task Execution & Accountability:
Ensure all tasks, projects, and initiatives assigned by the Journey Team Lead are executed to a high standard, on time, and in alignment with Retro Rabbit’s quality and culture expectations.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field
1–2 years’ experience in a people-focused role (HR, employee engagement, L&D, or organizational development)
Understanding of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and development
Strong coaching, mentoring, and communication skills with the ability to build trust and support Rabbits at all levels
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment
Experience coordinating training, engagement, or development programmes is advantageous
Analytical mindset with the ability to use people data to support decisions and improvements
Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable, with a passion for building positive and inclusive workplace cultures
High emotional intelligence and empathy to support Rabbits throughout their journey
