MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A relevant Doctoral Degree
Registration with a relevant professional accounting body
At least 9 years’ experience in higher education for Professor, and 7 years’ experience for Associate Professor
Extensive undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research experience in accounting areas of specialization including Taxation, Auditing, Management Accounting, and Financial Accounting.
A track record of international and national accredited research publications commensurate with the academic rank of Professor/Associate Professor
Postgraduate supervision experience including successful Doctoral supervision
Previously taught at a SAICA-endorsed programme, delivering courses aligned with professional accounting standards and competencies.
Evidence of successful national and international fundraising for research.
Recognition as an established scholar in a chosen area of research (e.g., NRF rating, international keynote addresses/ plenary lectures).
