The Sales representative will be responsible for selling products and services by finding leads, demonstrating offerings, negotiating deals, and maintaining strong customer relationships to achieve revenue targets and drive company growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation: Identifying and contacting new prospects through methods like cold calling, referrals, and networking to generate sales leads
Product/Service Knowledge: Gaining thorough knowledge of the company’s offerings to effectively educate customers on features, benefits, and how they solve problems
Customer Interaction: Engaging with customers to understand their needs and preferences, providing information, and answering questions about products and services
Demonstrations & Presentations: Delivering product demonstrations and sales presentations to potential clients to showcase value and suitability
Negotiation & Closing: Negotiating contracts, terms, and prices with clients to finalize deals and process sales agreements
Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business
Achieving Sales Goals: Meeting or exceeding assigned sales targets (quotas) to contribute to the company’s overall revenue and commercial growth
Market & Competitor Analysis: Monitoring market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments to position products effectively
Collaboration: Working with internal sales teams, to coordinate sales efforts and programs
Reporting: Preparing sales reports, tracking sales activity, and maintaining client records in customer relationship management systems

Minimum Requirements:

Previous experience in sales
Knowledge in cement compliance, to the quality standards managed by the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) – will be an advantage
Understanding supply chain principles
Knowledge of civil engineering where the focus is analyzing a building plan, and ensuring the stability, strength, and rigidity of buildings – will be an advantage
Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the role
Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment
Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset
Adaptability to changing priorities and operational demands
