We are looking for a driven, high-energy Account Manager to take ownership of a retail territory in Cape Town. This role focuses on identifying opportunities, building senior relationships within retail head offices, and selling value-driven solutions that improve business operations and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage a strong pipeline of retail opportunities
Identify, target, and secure new business within retail organisations
Engage with key stakeholders (buyers, operations, IT, procurement, executives)
Present solutions clearly, linking features to business impact
Conduct needs analysis to uncover client challenges and opportunities
Drive the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing deals
Build and maintain long-term client relationships
Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals
Collaborate internally to deliver seamless customer solutions
Stay up to date with industry trends and market developments
Requirements
3-10 years B2B sales experience (solution/consultative selling)
Proven track record in new business development and closing deals
Experience engaging with senior decision-makers
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Ability to build and manage a sales pipeline independently
Retail/FMCG industry exposure is advantageous
Tech/telecoms/digital solutions exposure is beneficial
Self-motivated, target-driven, and commercially astute
