The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Senior Quantitative Analyst to join our dynamic team. The focus of this position is performance and risk analysis requiring knowledge and application of broader quantitative and investment related topics.

The duties and responsibilities of this position include (but are not limited to):

Supervision, training and mentoring of junior quant team members
Support function to Sygnia Administration and Sygnia Investments
Monthly and quarterly fund and client reporting, including, but not limited to, Investment Analysis Reports and Fund Fact Sheets
Data gathering, verification and preparation
Updating, maintaining and automating various reporting processes as required
Performance and management fees calculations and verification
Investment related research, including assisting the manager research team in quantitative reviews.
Maintaining process documentation
Various other ad hoc data analyses

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 3 years’ experience within the financial services or investment management industry
Strong proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced functions, pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis
BSc (with Commerce subjects), BBusSci, or BCom degree as a minimum qualification; Mathematical Sciences, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or Investment Management advantageous
CFA Level I or progress toward CFA qualification (advantageous)
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Strong interest in financial markets, investments, and portfolio analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interpret and present financial data and investment insights clearly
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Strong organisational and time-management skills
High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
Experience working with financial data systems, investment platforms, or reporting tools advantageous
Knowledge of asset classes, portfolio construction, and investment performance analysis advantageous
A passion for investment analysis and continuous learning within the investment industry
