Key Accountabilities and Outputs:<\/p>\n
Production Management \u2013 Deep Focus<\/p>\n
\tSupervise, monitor and correct the Grade 2, off quality and other waste levels produced during the shift and take corrective action to decrease the levels.
\n\tSupervise, monitor and correct the raw material usage to ensure waste levels are maintained at acceptable levels.
\n\tProduction OEE is maintained within targeted parameters and downtime is minimized.
\n\tMonitor and ensure the\u00a0correct set up and change of the machine\u00a0done by the mechanics or perform this function in the absence of the mechanics as authorised by the Manager.
\n\tProvide daily production updates outlining the key focus areas of the shift.\u00a0 Content and format to align to the agreed Operations Strategy Framework.
\n\tMakes sure that all shift production reports are up to date to report against agreed goals, IBP and financial metrics to reflect the shifts performance and explain expenditure.
\n\tEnsure that all processes, recipes, and production specifications are documented into required SOP and process flow formats and stored centrally as per agreed document management system.
\n\tMonitor and record the use of consumables \/ expenses incurred during the shift and be able to explain variances to budget to the Production\u00a0Manager.
\n\tEnsure that procedures are adhered to prevent excessive maintenance and consumable costs are incurred.<\/p>\n

\tSupervise shift activities that ensure compliance with applicable safety, health and environment legislation and audit requirements
\n\tEnsure housekeeping is kept to\u00a05S standards.<\/p>\n

\tMonitors the daily timekeeping of the direct reports
\n\tSelect, train, coach, develop, motivate, and measure the work performance of individuals within the shift to encourage accountability and promote employee engagement
\n\tSupervise\u00a0shift employees in a manner that maintains a healthy Industrial Relations climate exemplifies the Belgotex values and ensures a fair, productive climate that is engaging.
\n\tEnsure\u00a0that all shift employees are conversant\/compliant with relevant business information, policies, processes and procedures.
\n\tStay abreast and relevant of current industry best practices to ensure processes are aligned to industry trends, legislative requirement, and strategic business goals to ensure sustainability of Belgotex.
\n\tProactively manages performance and shift dynamics to ensure that a fair, professional, and high-performance environment, aligned to the company values is maintained<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 \/ Matric with Math\u2019s is essential.
\n\tProficient in MS Office applications.
\n\tCTFL Learnership or Carpet Technology or a recognized production qualification or 3 – 5\u00a0years relevant production experience in yarn processing is essential.
\n\tHigh attention to detail
\n\tMust have good vision (to see the finer details in yarn or carpet processing)
\n\tGood knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001,18001 is an advantage
\n\tSystem and application knowledge e.g. 5S, D365
\n\tThe incumbent requires significant technical knowledge and experience (minimum one years) in production.<\/p>\n
