Requirements<\/p>\n
\tOperate all Butchery Equipment including the Bandsaw.
\n\tReport any defective equipment\/utensils to the Butchery Manager.
\n\tControl, Merchandise and Promote stock according to laid down procedures and standards.
\n\tPrepare and break various meat carcasses according to laid down specifications.
\n\tDe-boning all cuts of meat and Manufacture Mince \/ Produce Sausage and Boerewors.
\n\tPrevent wastage \/ shrinkage \/ damages.
\n\tCheck temperatures and monitor\/maintain the cold chain.
\n\tProvide the required product or services and handle customers in a courteous and businesslike manner.
\n\tMaintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene of butchery-related equipment and utensils.
\n\tAssist with the receiving of meat from suppliers.
\n\tAssist with training staff on various new products \/ lines.
\n\tMust comply with the medical criteria required by the OHS Act for the Butchery.
\n\tAll applicants will be required to successfully complete the appropriate numeracy screening assessments.
\n\tGrade 12
\n\tMust be customer minded and a team player.
\n\tGood communication skills \u2013 listen carefully and respond appropriately.
\n\tHave passion for the product and a sense of urgency.
\n\tAbility to complete tasks accurately.
\n\tDevelop Self \u2013 look for opportunities to grow and develop self.
\n\tAble to cut \/ manufacture \/ produce various meat products e.g. loin chops, roast, etc., (This skill will be tested).
\n\tAble to work in a cold environment.
\n\tBe physically able to lift carcasses and containers of meat.<\/p>\n
