Duties and responsibilities:<\/p>\n
YTD consolidation packages:<\/p>\n
\tLead the process of performing and submitting the core consolidation packages for the gas and fuel business units individually.<\/p>\n
Linked elimination files:<\/p>\n
\tInter-elims, Group elims, investment elims – linked tthe respective data-warehouse (DW) files<\/p>\n
Quarterly legal and professional fees:<\/p>\n
\tReview the file before submission tGroup for further review\/processing.<\/p>\n
Monthly analysis of Group overhead expenses:<\/p>\n
\tResponsible toversee the submission of the Quartely Group overheads analysis for Group review<\/p>\n
OneStream yearly upload files:<\/p>\n
\tFiles used for uploading information in Onestream which supports all cube view data for numerical notes and disclosure amounts in the financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
\n\tUsed tconnect the financial information in the Onestream upload files.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\tFixed assets (continuity schedules)
\n\tIntangible assets
\n\tMovement in long-term borrowings
\n\tWeighted average interest rates on various Fuel & Gas borrowings
\n\tCommitments – Guarantees
\n\tECL and specific allowance workings
\n\tLiquidity risks (maturity analysis of non-derivative financial instruments)
\n\tRelated party transactions (balance sheet & income statement) – and director remuneration data
\n\tCredit risk, Market risk sensitivity disclosures.
\n\tInterest expense analysis<\/p>\n
Completed stand-alone and consolidated dataset for all SA Companies in OneStream:<\/p>\n
\tHaving ALL SA company TBs loaded successfully in OneStream without any imbalances \/ errors in data \/ mapping issues, by the Financial Managers. Conduct e a series of checks that the OneStream infis complete and accurate.
\n\tEnsuring that all eliminations loaded are (a) against the correct IC partner, (b) for the correct amount, (c) against the correct account, by the Financial Managers. Conduct a series of checks that the OneStream infis complete and accurate.
\n\tEnsuring that the Cash flow statement balances for all SA companies in OneStream.
\n\tEnsuring that all supporting cube views (for BS and PnL required notes), as well as supplementary data, is completely and accurately loaded in the system, by the Financial Managers. Conduct e a series of checks that the OneStream infis complete and accurate.<\/p>\n
IFRS compliance:<\/p>\n
\tOverall responsible tensure that the annual accounts are in compliance with IFRS.
\n\tPreparing new accounting memorandums
\n\tCoaching TM thandle simpler accounting transactions
\n\tBe overall responsible for accounting for internal re-structurings, and prepare journals for disposal accounting \/ amendment of consolidation adjustments, liaise with local Fuel + Gas FMs tensure the elimination files are amended as necessary<\/p>\n
Financial statement preparation:<\/p>\n
\tObtaining, reviewing, and using the data necessary for the preparation of the financial reporting package for all reportable entities.
\n\tMonitoring the timelines of completion, review and sign-off by directors & auditors of all statutory financial statements.
\n\tPromptly arrange for the review of the pre-final drafts of FS by Group Finance and Directors, in anticipation of signing.<\/p>\n
Management of the annual audit cycle:<\/p>\n
\tLead the auditor re-appointment process and ensure all engagement letters are signed
\n\tCo-ordinate the commencement of the interim\/final audits.
\n\tOptimize the audit cycle, by exploring options of getting as much of the job done as possible during interim period, arrange for more analytics tbe deployed by auditor.
\n\tFollow up on the review plan and ensure that all counterparties deliver as per the set timeline (tbe discussed and driven by you on an annual basis).
\n\tBe able tunderstand priorities and make changes tthe initial plan as necessary in an agile way<\/p>\n
Monthly management tax accruals:<\/p>\n
\tDrive the change in the way SA records tax accruals (simple PL method) and create a file in order tfollow the policy used by the Group on calculating income tax and perform alsa roll-forward for DTA\/DTL.<\/p>\n
Provisional income tax computations:<\/p>\n
\tPreparation and submission for Group senior tax manager\/Head of Tax of all provisional income tax computations<\/p>\n
Annual income tax computations:<\/p>\n
\tPreparation and submission for Group senior tax manager\/Head of Tax of all income tax computations.<\/p>\n
Annual Transfer pricing reports:<\/p>\n
\tWork with the external consultant and oversee the preparation of the TP reports. Co-ordinate the delivery of all required data (from Fuel +Gas accounts) tthe consultant, in order for the consultant tprepare the draft reports.<\/p>\n
Quarterly covenant compliance certificate:<\/p>\n
\tPrepare the quarterly covenant compliance calculations for use by the Treasury department (communication with finance counterparties as per loan agreement terms).<\/p>\n
Reports around compliance with SARS\/CIPC\/SARB:<\/p>\n
\tLead, in collaboration with other departments (Treasury, Operations, Legal), the preparation, and submission, of documentation required by CIPC, SARS, SARB.<\/p>\n
