\n\tRCL FOODS is seeking a Production Manager to join our Sugar Division. \u00a0The role will be based in Komati Mill and will report into the Manufacturing Executive.
\n\tThe purpose of the role is to manage all aspects relating to Sugar production. This will include meeting Production, Budget, Quality and SHE goals in line with business objectives.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tBTech\/B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering\/Sugar Technology qualifications.
\n\tCandidate must have completed Ten-week SMRI training course.
\n\tAt least 5 years\u2019 experience in the Sugar Manufacturing environment, as an Assistant Production Manager or Process Engineer responsible for Raw-house and\/or Refinery.
\n\tUnderstanding and advanced knowledge of the Sugar manufacturing process (Rawhouse) and operations parameters.
\n\tCandidates must have intermediate MS Office skills.
\n\tSelf-starting, action-orientated individuals with well-developed communication skills should apply.
\n\tWorking knowledge of SAP system will be an added advantage.
\n\tThe ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy is critical to this position.
\n\tTo be considered for appointment, candidate must be a South African citizen<\/p>\n
Duties & Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tLeading multi-discipline operational functions (sugar production, laboratory services and water works, sugar warehousing, despatch, and \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0landfill).
\n\tFormulation and implementation of production strategies, policies, plans, budgets, quality standards, etc.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure that appropriate sugar production processes are applied to achieve sugar production targets within budget, safety, and quality parameters.
\n\tOptimize factory throughput and recoveries to achieve production targets.
\n\tManage Process LTA and UDL to a minimum and maximize Overall Time Efficiency (OTE).
\n\tProvide technical support to the team.
\n\tCompile and control operational and maintenance budgets.
\n\tPlanning of Process Off Crop, short & long stops work and implementation.
\n\tDevelop Process capital improvement plan and manage various projects.
\n\tReport and investigate accidents, incidents and implement preventative measures. \u00a0
\n\tMaintain high quality work standards, comply with safety standards and requirements, and ensure good housekeeping in area of responsibility<\/p>\n
