Malander is seeking an experienced Manager to assist in the Risk and Analytics department based in Cape Town. This position requires the successful candidate to find innovative ways to leverage the vast amount of data and information at your disposal to create customer strategies that drive up profit within constraints. They will be required to work within the Risk and Analytics department to enhance the company performance by providing information, analyses, reports and technical support for the development and implementation of data-driven credit risk strategies.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tAssist team to achieve a balanced credit portfolio by accurately forecasting expected results
\n\tDevelop and implement champion\/challenger customer strategies that deliver performance in line with Board expectations
\n\tMonitor portfolio performance and ensure book performance meet pre-defined KPI\u2019s by pro-actively proposing changes
\n\tInvestigating data integrity issues, testing assumptions and validating analytical results, ensuring accuracy of findings
\n\tUndertaking analysis to determine the impact of strategy changes to areas of application and account management strategies
\n\tPresenting ideas via reports and presentations, outlining findings and making recommendations for improvements to senior stakeholders
\n\tForecasting and monitoring implemented strategies using statistical techniques
\n\tProject manage the implementation of strategy changes into live systems
\n\tCoding (Retailer experience)
\n\tCredit professional and Must have experience and solid understanding in IFRS9, credit strategy rules, risk registers)<\/p>\n
Requirements:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tRelevant post-graduate Degree with mathematical or statistical oriented subjects preferred
\n\tBusiness Science Degree \/ B.Com Degree or equivalent
\n\t8+ or more years\u2019 experience in consumer credit (within a Credit Risk analytics environment) and has managed a large credit portfolio\u00a0
\n\tPreferable to have worked for a retailer or a bank running a card portfolio or a loans business would be sufficient.
\n\tMust have experience in Building scorecards
\n\tVery good understanding of SAS Account management and account acquisition experience
\n\tSolid Understanding of the credit life cycle
\n\tRevolving store card or credit card experience advantageous
\n\tAbility to work efficiently under pressure and within structured and unstructured parameters
\n\tAdvantageous to have predictive Analytics experience with a highly numerate background
\n\tMust be able to monitor models and report back to the board
\n\tMust assist in growing team with relevant support, training programs and be seen as a mentor
\n\tHigh attention to detail driving a need for 100% accuracy
\n\tHigh level of integrity and confidentiality
\n\tExperienced user of Microsoft Office suite\u00a0
\n\tExperience in SAS (base and\/or Enterprise Guide and\/or SAS Viya) extremely advantageous
\n\tSQL \/ Python.<\/p>\n
