We\u2019re seeking a Senior Accountant to join a dynamic finance team, working closely with the CFO to support critical financial functions and deliver robust reporting, compliance, and control processes. What You\u2019ll Be Responsible For<\/p>\n
\tAs Senior Accountant, you\u2019ll play a pivotal role in maintaining financial integrity and helping the business scale responsibly. Your key duties will include:
\n\tFull ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting \u2013 including balance sheet and income statement preparation, consolidations, and management accounts
\n\tManaging general ledger (GL) entries and monthly reconciliations
\n\tDriving improvements in financial processes, internal controls, and system efficiencies
\n\tSupporting and overseeing payroll-related accounting
\n\tHandling all SARS-related matters \u2013 including VAT, PAYE, UIF, and provisional tax submissions and registrations
\n\tPreparing year-end audit files and liaising with auditors
\n\tDelivering financial analysis and reports to support strategic decision-making
\n\tMonitoring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax legislation
\n\tSupporting company secretarial tasks and CIPC submissions (advantageous)
\n\tProviding ad hoc support to the CFO and contributing to broader finance initiatives<\/p>\n
What We’re Looking For<\/p>\n
\tQualified CA(SA) preferred
\n\tMinimum 5 years\u2019 post-articles experience in a senior accounting role
\n\tStrong knowledge of SARS regulations, including VAT, PAYE, UIF, and tax compliance
\n\tProven experience working with SAGE accounting software
\n\tHands-on exposure to payroll accounting
\n\tCIPC experience (advantageous but not essential)
\n\tExcellent attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
\n\tComfortable working in a fast-moving, high-volume environment
\n\tProfessional, courteous, and committed to upholding a high standard of teamwork and collaboration<\/p>\n
