The Receivables Clerk is responsible for contacting debtors and collecting outstanding payments, as well as managing customer claims and disputes.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMatric certificate
\n\tCredit Management 1&2 (preferred)
\n\tStrong 3-5 years’ experience Accounts Receivable\/Credit Control\u00a0
\n\tCollections experience\u00a0
\n\tMulti-task and work efficiently
\n\tExcellent analytical skills
\n\tEffectively prioritize daily workloads
\n\tStrong written and verbal communication, including the ability to assertively communicate with customers to obtain timely payments
\n\tExperience with MS Office applications
\n\tSelf-start and work independently
\n\tUnderstanding of debit\/credit entries
\n\tBuild relationships both in credit department and across departments Accountability
\n\tOperational Results o Manage the process of contacting debtors for payments\/outstanding amounts on accounts
\n\tSend agreed and approved communication in standard formats (SMS, email letters) to serve as reminders final demand\u00a0
\n\tManage the process of collections from order to legal action
\n\tMonitor and manage the transactional work list o Ensure that the correct reconciliations are conducted
\n\tManage the process of staff accounts (includes master data, creating a debtors account and journaling, etc.)
\n\tEnsure that non-trading debtors are accounted for
\n\tManage the process with inter-company accounts
\n\tPoint of Sales Collections – governing on-site procedures
\n\tOverdue greater than 60 days handed over to legal<\/p>\n
