\n\tAs part of the Data Team, we deliver information to the company that is timely, accurate, reliable, and relevant. Our information is utilised across the entire business from front facing customer hosts through to executives. Ongoing analysis and evaluation of results is a daily function. This role involves working closely with clients, providing analytical insights, and making data-driven recommendations to support business objectives.<\/p>\n
What you\u2019ll be doing<\/p>\n
As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n
\tPerforming statistical and data analysis.
\n\tExtracting relevant data from various internal and external sources for analysis.
\n\tManipulating and analyzing raw application data from various systems to derive meaningful insights.
\n\tDeveloping and conceptualizing new reports and dashboards based on business needs.
\n\tInvestigating and monitoring data trends proactively.
\n\tConducting financial analysis and support data-driven business decisions.
\n\tProviding strategic recommendations based on data-driven insights.
\n\tProviding training and education on data systems, reports, and analytical outputs.
\n\tDelivering ad hoc data services and analytical consulting to clients.
\n\tClose collaboration with the Product Manager and Engineering team to understand business objective and key metrics to be analyzed.<\/p>\n
Essential skills you\u2019ll bring to the table<\/p>\n
The necessary skills that we require for this role include:<\/p>\n
\tA graduate\/postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline (Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Mathematical Statistics or similar)
\n\tMinimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in a data-related field (data engineering, data analytics, BI, etc.).
\n\t2 years of experience in a Data Analyst, BI Analyst role or similar
\n\tA sound understanding of relational databases
\n\tHands-on experience with SQL and the Microsoft BI stack or equivalent.
\n\tExpertise in report writing and visualization technologies.
\n\tSuperior applied excel knowledge.
\n\tExposure to or interest in data mining technologies.
\n\tExperience in or exposure to analytical research\/methodologies.
\n\tVery strong math and stats experience\/skills.
\n\tStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
\n\tStrong client interaction skills.
\n\tBusiness interpretation of decision support data.
\n\tExceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs.
\n\tAbility to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations.
\n\tDesirable skills you\u2019ve got up your sleeve<\/p>\n
It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:<\/p>\n
\tKnowledge of advanced statistical methods such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, time series analysis, and machine learning algorithms.
\n\tPractical experience with tools like R, Python, SAS, or SPSS for statistical modelling and analysis.
\n\tExpertise in data mining technologies.
\n\tExperience with cloud based data platforms.
\n\tExperience in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
\n\tFamiliarity with tools and technologies for managing and processing big data, such as Hadoop or Spark.
\n\tIn-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends
\n\tPrevious experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations<\/p>\n
