\tThe Senior Data Centre Technical Architect is an advanced accountable for designing and implementing the infrastructure and systems of a data center, including physical & virtual servers, storage systems, networking equipment, hyperconverged infrastructure & hyperscale cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) power and cooling systems, and physical security measures, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translating them into efficient and reliable data center solutions as part of the pre-sales process.
\n\tWhat you’ll be doing<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tDesigns and architects the infrastructure of data center, including physical & virtual servers, storage systems, networking equipment, hyperconverged infrastructure & hyperscale cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) power and cooling systems, and physical security measures.
\n\tEvaluates and recommends complex data center services, aligning them with business requirements and ensuring security and compliance.
\n\tAnalyzes, develops and recommends long-term strategic plans to ensure data center meets current and future requirements.
\n\tViewed as a trusted technical advisor to the client and provide technical guidance to development teams during the implementation of collaborative solutions.
\n\tDevelops and implements network architectures, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.
\n\tDesigns and optimizes virtualized environments using technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, hyperscale cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
\n\tProvides pre-sales technical support and expertise in analyzing client requirements, in conjunction with the client\u2019s current data center capabilities.
\n\tEnsures technical solutions will accomplish the client’s objectives.
\n\tWorks with internal stakeholders to produce a technical specification for the custom development and systems integration requirements for the solution.
\n\tDevelops or produces the technical design document to match the solution design specifications.
\n\tWorking with the relevant internal stakeholders, participate or lead in scope of work determination, product pricing and RFP\/RFI responses.
\n\tProvides recommendations on the determination of outsourcing, product pricing and collaborates with others to develop an implementation solution.
\n\tCreates comprehensive technical documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
\n\tResponsible for influencing and guiding members of the Sales team and to ensure that they are equipped to close deals and maintain visibility of forecasting and sales pipeline in order to influence potential deals.
\n\tManages client proof of concept (POC) initiatives, which will require the involvement of the appropriate resources, and setup and delivery of the POC.
\n\tOn all assigned engagements, owns the proposed solution and transitions the build \/ implementation to the delivery team.
\n\tSpecifically relating to opportunity pursuit this role will evaluate each opportunity for alignment with organizational capabilities and business policy, prepare the executive summary that outlines all of the information gathered from the client in regard to their needs, as understood, document the proposed technology solution, document the statement of work along with all labor requirements, work with the relevant internal stakeholders to prepare the pricing format that will be supplied to the customer, perform the actual solution design and prepare a parts list outlining equipment to be provided, develop and manage a proof-of-concept as such may be required, engage all technical resources required for an accurate solution design, prepare a network diagram outlining the proposed solution, document all deliverables and what constitutes a successful completion, review the final parts list as supplied and submit all information to the applicable bid team for final assembly, verify the proposal\u2019s accuracy and sign off on the final documents to be presented to the client, assist during the final presentation to the client as appropriate.<\/p>\n

\n\tAdvanced knowledge of data center infrastructure components, networking technologies, virtualization, and cloud computing platforms.
\n\tAdvanced understanding of data center security principles, compliance standards, and best practices.
\n\tAbility to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, contributing to their success.
\n\tAdvanced product knowledge integrated with technology understanding.
\n\tAdvanced understanding network protocols, topologies and security.
\n\tAdvanced proficiency in designing and implementing network architectures, including LAN, WAN, and virtual networking technologies.
\n\tAdvanced knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, and network security is important.
\n\tAdvanced expertise in server and storage technologies such as virtualization, blade servers, storage area networks (SAN), network-attached storage (NAS), and data backup and recovery systems.
\n\tAdvanced familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services, including infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), platform-as-a-service (PaaS), and software-as-a-service (SaaS).
\n\tAdvanced knowledge and expertise in key Data Center vendors solution such as Cisco Data Center Compute & Storage Solution, Dell Technology, HPE, Broadcom, or other similar vendor solutions.
\n\tAdvanced knowledge of cloud architecture, deployment models, and security considerations is crucial.
\n\tAdvanced understanding how to design and optimize virtualized environments for performance, scalability, and reliability is essential.
\n\tAdvanced knowledge of data center security principles and best practices, including physical security measures, network security, access controls, and vulnerability management.
\n\tUnderstanding compliance standards such as PCI DSS or HIPAA.
\n\tAdvanced understanding of key vendor subscription models such as Cisco EA 3.0 and Cisco Smart Licensing model.
\n\tAdvanced ability to use vendor’s available CPQ tools such as Cisco CCW and others.<\/p>\n
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or information systems or a related field.
\n\tCertification and working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies (for example, TOGAF, Zachman, SOA, ITIL, COBIT, etc.).
\n\tSoftware and programming languages, for example, DevNet, DevSec
\n\tSAFe Scaled Agile certification advantageous.
\n\tRelated Vendor product, sales and technology certifications is a must.<\/p>\n
Required Experience:<\/p>\n
\tAdvanced demonstrable professional technical experience within a large scale (preferably multi-national) technology services environment.
\n\tAdvanced experience with virtualization technologies like such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, hyperscale cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) & hyperconverged infrastructure.
\n\tAdvanced experience as a Data Centre Technical Architect or similar role, designing and implementing data center infrastructure solutions.
\n\tAdvanced experience in project management methodologies advantageous.<\/p>\n
