Job Purpose<\/p>\n
\tTo support the delivery of Data Quality and Acquisition Solutions within the Hollard Insure business. The objective is to drive substantial bottom-line value by transforming the organisation’s key decision processes (e.g., sales, marketing, product design and pricing, fraud, underwriting, and claims) by enabling the data office to acquire and provide datasets of higher quality to downstream data solutions (data engineering, business intelligence reporting, data science and AI.
\n\tThe ideal candidate should have a strong background in data analysis, data management (quality, actuisition and governance), data engineering and data visualisation.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
TECHNICAL<\/p>\n
\tStrong expertise in Data Quality and Acquisition Management, including applying industry frameworks, principles, and tools to ensure the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity of enterprise data assets.
\n\tStrong knowledge of cloud-based big data frameworks, particularly Microsoft Azure.
\n\tProficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
\n\tExperience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, or similar.
\n\tFamiliarity with Apache Spark, PySpark, and large-scale data processing.
\n\tExperience working with Power BI and Azure Synapse, including Medallion Architecture or Fabric.
\n\tSolid understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and lakehouse architectures.
\n\tFamiliarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) practices and tools such as Azure Boards (advantageous)
\n\tAwareness of cloud and data management trends, including semantic web technologies and major commercial vendors.<\/p>\n

\nRequired Experience<\/p>\n
\t+7 year related experience
\n\tExperience in database analytical tools.
\n\tExperience in Python, SQL Server, PowerBI, Excel, PowerPoint
\n\tAzure will be advantageous.
\n\tExperience in the Financial Services Sector will be advantageous, especially Short-Term Insurance.<\/p>\n

\tProven ability to manage supplier and third-party relationships with significant influence on data use and application.
\n\tDemonstrated experience in data quality management and data governance frameworks.
\n\tStrong ability to analyze complex data issues, challenge assumptions, and recommend value-driven improvements.
\n\tStrong communication skills (written and oral)
\n\tGood project management and delivery skills
\n\tStrategic thinker with strong operational and tactical experience, skills, and knowledge
