MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
WAREHOUSE CONTROL<\/p>\n
\tControl receiving, picking, packing and distribution processes effectively.
\n\tControl day-to-day operations of the warehouse to achieve departmental objectives and targets.
\n\tEnsure that all active stock takes have been finalized and closed by COB daily.
\n\tAssist with the scrapping process as required.<\/p>\n
DISTRIBUTION CONTROL<\/p>\n
\tControl logistics function, ensuring all orders are dispatched timeously, including:
\n\tManage freight forwarders and ensure timeous collection from couriers.
\n\tLoading of Freight Forwarders Waybills.
\n\tPre alerting the Freight Forwarders controllers, and the necessary staff, of what waybills are leaving.
\n\tAssisting with the tracing of waybills for Freight Forwarders.
\n\tCollect outworks from suppliers as required.
\n\tControl dispatch quality, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
\n\tEnsure all picking slips are attended to timeously.
\n\tPrepare goods for dispatch.
\n\tMonitor, count & inspect the dispatching of goods to ensure orders are dispatched accurately.
\n\tLoading \/ offloading of vehicles.
\n\tEnsure dispatch accuracy as per picking slip, on time and in full.
\n\tExecute the most efficient and accurate loading and dispatching of all orders, as per picking slips.
\n\tEnsure IBTR\u2019s (Inter-Branch Transfers) are completed as per company procedures.
\n\tEnsure adequate staffing requirements.
\n\tEnsure all stock being dispatched is wrapped and compliant to wrapping SOP.
\n\tAssist with driving responsibilities, including driving a company vehicle, if hold a valid driver\u2019s license.
\n\tComply with all traffic laws and follow safe driving practices while operating a company vehicle.
\n\tLoading and unloading deliveries.
\n\tMaintain accurate records of deliveries and ensure all relevant paperwork is signed and returned.
\n\tProvide excellent customer service.
\n\tConduct vehicle inspections weekly.
\n\tEnsure vehicle inspection checklists are completed accurately.
\n\tReport any deviations immediately to the Warehouse Supervisor.
\n\tEnsure vehicle is always clean and presentable.<\/p>\n
RECEIVING CONTROL<\/p>\n
\tEnsure all deliveries are received, checked, and confirmed correctly and timeously.
\n\tReceiving all stock delivered from a supplier or a return from a customer.
\n\tEnsure stock received via containers are correct and meets company quality standards.
\n\tEnsure that the stock colours match company standards.
\n\tMonitor, count & inspect the unloading of goods into the receiving department on delivery day.
\n\tCheck and verify shipping records, manage queries on shipping shortages or surplus timeously.
\n\tEnsure documented quality checks is completed on each shipment and review accordingly.
\n\tEnsure all packaging meets company standards and comply with Quality plans.
\n\tEnsure all boxes are correctly labelled.
\n\tReport any quality deviations to the Warehouse Supervisor.
\n\tReport all damaged stock\/incomplete transfers to the Warehouse Supervisor immediately upon discovery thereof.
\n\tEnsuring that all stock is correctly and neatly located and binned.
\n\tEnsure stock is binned timeously.
\n\tEnsure bins are tidy, always have bin numbers and stock labels.
\n\tAll stock in bins to be neatly wrapped to prevent damages.
\n\tEnsure all stock are packed into correct bins as per company procedures.<\/p>\n
ADMINISTRATION<\/p>\n
\tAlways ensure effective warehouse administration:
\n\tPODs submitted to Admin timeously.
\n\tAll dispatch and receiving paperwork are completed accurately.
\n\tEnsuring that Forklift drivers keep the forklift hours register up-to-date.
\n\tCommunicate labour requirements to Line Manager in advance, to ensure planning for stringent dispatch requirements.
\n\tControl packaging material and box stock to always ensure sufficient stock levels.
\n\tOrdering of packaging material for the branch.
\n\tDetermine packaging requirements for the Distribution Centre.<\/p>\n
SHEQ INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CONTROL<\/p>\n
\tEnsure adherence to the OHS Act.
\n\tTake reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves of other persons.
\n\tCo-operate with the employer to enable prescribed duties or requirements to be complied with.
\n\tCarry out any lawful order given and obey the health and safety rules and procedures.
\n\tReport any unsafe or unhealthy situation to the employer.
\n\tReport any incident to the employer.
\n\tComply with health and safety processes.
\n\tEnsure the warehouse maintains and complies with standards of health and safety, and hygiene always.
\n\tAlways maintain high standards of housekeeping.
\n\tEnsure PPE is always worn in the warehouse.
\n\tParticipate in any Integrated Management System activities as required.
\n\tIdentify and report opportunities for improvement, Non-Conformances, and Incidents in area of responsibility.
\n\tEnsure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
\n\tAlways maintain a high level of customer service levels standards.<\/p>\n
