\tVision Elevators has an exciting new position of a Safety office to be based at our Johannesburg branch. The ideal candidate should be reliable, self managed, punctual, organized, diligent, enthusiastic and eager to develop and grow this department.<\/p>\n
Roles and Responsibilities (The list provided below is not exhaustive and other items or elements not specifically mentioned may also be included)<\/p>\n
\tEnsure compliance with the occupational health and safety guidelines within the group.\u00a0
\n\tAdvise on safety measures and conduct regular risk assessments for the various offices\/factories\/warehouses.\u00a0
\n\tPromote and enforce a culture of safety in the workplace throughout the group.\u00a0
\n\tDevelop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.\u00a0
\n\tProvide training to employees on safety policies, procedures and protocols.\u00a0
\n\tReview clients SHE specifications and ensure compliance.\u00a0
\n\tCompile and communicate safety files for various construction sites around the country.\u00a0
\n\tCompile and communicate safety files for various maintenance sites around the country.\u00a0
\n\tCompile and communicate safety files for the various warehouses\/offices and factories in the group.\u00a0
\n\tMaintain accurate records of safety related activities.\u00a0
\n\tInvestigate accidents and incidents to identify areas for improvement.\u00a0
\n\tRespond to and handle IOD incidents if and when required throughout the group.\u00a0
\n\tWill be required to attend various construction site safety meetings and attend safety audits.\u00a0
\n\tManage site specific safety reps and compile regular internal audits on subcontractors.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 or equivalent.
\n\tMinimum of two years working as a Health and safety officer in a construction and\/or manufacturing environment.
\n\tMust have a relevant degree in Health and safety studies (SAMTRAC or NEBOSH certification)
\n\tMust be a registered safety officer with SACPCMP.
\n\tMust be able to speak, read and write English fluently.
\n\tCandidates will be required to pass a medical fitness certificate.
\n\tMust have a valid driver license.<\/p>\n
