Main Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Data Science<\/p>\n
\tIdentify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
\n\tUndertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data to discover trends and patterns
\n\tBuild predictive models and machine-learning algorithms to automate processes
\n\tCombine models through machine learning, AI, etc
\n\tPresent information using data visualization techniques<\/p>\n
Dashboard Development and Maintenance\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tDesign, develop and deliver revenue assurance solutions such as reports, cubes, dashboards, ad hoc data access solutions using best practices
\n\tUnderstand data and data mart models as well as become familiar with the business information contained in each as well as the source systems
\n\tWork closely with analysts and user representatives for technical delivery of reporting solutions
\n\tDebug report issues by analyzing the data sources and SQLs to provide quick resolutions
\n\tParticipate in requirement gathering sessions, produce necessary design, development, and testing documentation
\n\tReview designs, code and testing with the project team as appropriate
\n\tAnalyze requirements, assess current state as well as strategic goals and devise plans for delivering the most appropriate solution
\n\tManagement of the reporting data marts, that is, ensuring that they are updated continuously and that they contain relevant information- Dashboards (sufficiently summarized for use for reporting)
\n\tClosely work with DBAs to fix performance bottlenecks in reporting
\n\tSupport and administer existing revenue assurance dashboard\u00a0
\n\tPropose improvements in existing revenue assurance dashboard
\n\tCreate data reporting solutions and implement reporting standards\u00a0<\/p>\n
Reporting and Analysis\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tPrepare written reports on a monthly basis or as required\u00a0
\n\tRelate information across a number of dimensions, highlight areas of interest for the business, and apply the correct measurements and analysis techniques
\n\tProvide oral presentations of statistical or technical scientific information to inform and report on the progress of data collation and integration\u00a0
\n\tProvide information at sufficiently summarized level for business management analysis, planning and control.
\n\tDevelop tools, templates and processes to assist in automation of workflow.
\n\tUse investigative techniques in order to analyze business questions
\n\tIdentify the source of information, extracting and analyzing into a report, and presenting findings to the business
\n\tExtract, organize, clean, structure data to provide reliable and timely information\u00a0
\n\tCollating and integrating data for reporting purposes\u00a0
\n\tDevelop operational procedures for the extraction, editing, verification and management of statistical data\u00a0<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tGSM Certification preferred\u00a0
\n\tDegree (BCom\/BSC) or IT Degree\/Diploma<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\t2 + years\u2019 experience within a Global System for Mobile environment
\n\tStrong IT systems experience
\n\t2 + years\u2019 experience in a software development environment
\n\tExperience in Application and Web Servers (Apache, Tomcat, SUN etc.)
\n\t2 years\u2019 experience in data architecture design
\n\tA working knowledge of the following;
\n\tJ2EE (EJB\/CMP, JMS, JSP, JNDI, JDBC)
\n\tXML (XSL\/T, Xpath) HTML and Web Services (SOAP)
\n\tRDBMS and SQL (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL), and Store Procedures
\n\tLinux, Red Hat, Ubuntu knowledge
\n\tPython, Java, .NET, PHP programming
\n\tGood knowledge of SAS, SQL and other analytical tools
\n\tExcellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).<\/p>\n
