Operating Officer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Main Purpose of the Job<\/p>\n<p>\tTo manage and drive leading negotiations, budgeting, purchasing, and putting efficient workflows in place to enhance the company&#8217;s productivity and performance.<br \/>\n\tLead cross-functional teams, manage existing partnerships, and evaluate company business goals to drive operational efficiency, enhance organizational performance, and contribute to the achievement of the business objectives.<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or Business Management (or equivalent qualification).<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Experience<\/p>\n<p>\tAt least 10 years in the Transport Industry and a minimum of 5 years\u2019 working experience in a leadership role.<br \/>\n\tIn-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g., supply chain, finance, customer service, etc.).<br \/>\n\tExperience in the aviation sector and road freight would be an advantage.<br \/>\n\tManagerial experience and demonstrated ability to develop and lead others.<br \/>\n\tFunctional Training<\/p>\n<p>Leadership<\/p>\n<p>\tCompliance Other Conditions<br \/>\n\tAfter-hours work centered around decision-making is required regularly in response to various operational challenges within the industry.<\/p>\n<p>Organisational Leadership<\/p>\n<p>\tCollaborate with the CEO and Executive team in setting and driving the organizational vision, including the operational strategy.<br \/>\n\tMeet with the organization\u2019s leadership team on an ongoing basis to re-evaluate action plans and adjust for sustainability and growth.<br \/>\n\tDevelop business strategies and plans aligned with short- and long-term objectives.<br \/>\n\tOversee company operations and employee productivity, fostering a highly inclusive culture.<br \/>\n\tSet clear performance expectations and provide coaching and mentorship.<br \/>\n\tMonitor progress, evaluate performance, and adjust strategies to ensure successful execution.<\/p>\n<p>Operational Strategy and Management<\/p>\n<p>\tDevelop and lead operational strategies supporting organizational objectives and growth.<br \/>\n\tCoordinate team efforts to align with organizational strategies.<br \/>\n\tLead, streamline, and optimize operational processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.<br \/>\n\tDrive continuous process improvements and implement best practices.<br \/>\n\tFoster effective cross-departmental communication and collaboration.<br \/>\n\tReview and manage internal systems, controls, and procedures for compliance and accuracy.<br \/>\n\tIdentify cost-saving opportunities and optimize financial results.<br \/>\n\tCollaborate with finance to develop and manage operational budgets.<br \/>\n\tControl operational expenses considering budget and BEE requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Business Analytics, Risk, and Reporting<\/p>\n<p>\tEstablish and analyze management reports to support business decisions and growth.<br \/>\n\tMonitor the macro-environment for risks and implement mitigating actions.<br \/>\n\tTrack operational and financial performance, and mitigate risks proactively.<br \/>\n\tImplement robust systems to manage risks and ensure continuity.<br \/>\n\tConduct internal reviews for compliance and initiate corrective actions.<br \/>\n\tAnalyze operations data and address underperformance.<br \/>\n\tReview departmental productivity and ensure objectives are met.<br \/>\n\tTrack direct report deadlines to ensure timely results.<\/p>\n<p>Audits and Regulatory Compliance<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.<br \/>\n\tMonitor and communicate regulatory updates to the leadership team.<br \/>\n\tDevelop relevant policy documents in line with legal and compliance requirements.<br \/>\n\tMaintain integrity and compliance of regulatory documentation.<br \/>\n\tNegotiate and approve supplier agreements and contracts.<br \/>\n\tApprove SLAs in consultation with stakeholders, aligning with company strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Customer Service and Retention<\/p>\n<p>\tNegotiate and manage partnership agreements with beneficial terms.<br \/>\n\tBuild and maintain strong customer relationships and deliver solutions.<br \/>\n\tConduct client\/service provider meetings to identify new opportunities.<br \/>\n\tDevelop account management strategies for customer retention.<br \/>\n\tLead teams in developing customer service initiatives to expand business.<\/p>\n<p>Talent and Technology<\/p>\n<p>\tPartner with CEO and management to foster a culture focused on equity, results, learning, and improvement.<br \/>\n\tContinuously assess
