Description<\/p>\n
\tEnsure safety regulations is adhered at all times regarding Dangerous Goods;
\n\tEnsure general safety and security around the aircraft;
\n\tLiaise between crew and ground handler to obtain boarding clearance for passengers;
\n\tMonitor the loading and offloading of baggage and cargo;
\n\tAdvise ground handling partner of any load changes;
\n\tEnsure effective turnarounds\/reducing delays by ensuring that all handling agents and service providers are in place tor arrivals;
\n\tConduct ramp safety audits when required;
\n\tEnsure ramp vehicles are clean and fueled;
\n\tPick up and drop off crew as and when required;
\n\tMonitor flight operations to ensure on-time-performance is met;
\n\tAllocate delays as and when required;
\n\tAssist with crew requests, such as coordinating clean-up services, providing water, and managing restroom facilities;
\n\tEnsure all service providers are present as required per flight I.e. ACSA, fuel handler, etc.;
\n\tConduct Ad hoc inspections in the baggage department;
\n\tMust perform any duty allocated\/delegated by the senior on duty;
\n\tArrange support for heavy or oversized equipment\/cargo, such as motorized wheelchairs;
\n\tEnsure sufficient staff as per SLA;
\n\tConduct FOD (Foreign object debris) checks. Report any irregular activities related to Flight Operations;
\n\tCoordinate any disrupt operations;
\n\tMonitor Ramp and Passenger service KPl’s (boarding gate closure time, equipment positioning etc.);
\n\tComplete ramp agent form for every flight;
\n\tCompile reports for irregular\/incidents if required;
\n\tLiaise across different departments and stations;
\n\tCoordinate with the relevant stakeholders to ensure on time departure.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 or equivalent;
\n\tMinimum of 2 years’ experience in an Airline\/Aviation environment (Passenger Services and\/or Ramp Services and\/or Baggage Handling);
\n\tCode 08 Drivers License (Essential);
\n\tNo criminal record;
\n\tAirside knowledge, have knowledge of airport operations;
\n\tPlanning, organizational and time management skills;
\n\tExcellent interpersonal skills;
\n\tStrong communication skills (verbal and written);
\n\tProblem solving capability;
\n\tDecision making skills;
\n\tAbility to multi-task and delegate;
\n\tComputer literate;
\n\tCustomer orientated.<\/p>\n
