{"id":10866,"date":"2025-05-28T15:34:08","date_gmt":"2025-05-28T15:34:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/accountant-2\/"},"modified":"2025-08-28T00:24:37","modified_gmt":"2025-08-28T00:24:37","slug":"accountant-2","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/?post_type=job_listing&p=10866","title":{"rendered":"Accountant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Compile a complete budget for the portfolio allocated<\/p>\n<p>\tConsult with all relevant departments i.e. Leasing, Repairs and Maintenance, etc. to compile a budget.<br \/>\n\tAnalyze the budgets to ensure that it is complete and reasonable in comparison to prior or current years.<br \/>\n\tEnsure that the budget is in the correct format and uploaded correctly.<\/p>\n<p>Perform an accounting function by processing journal entries and compiling monthly management packs<\/p>\n<p>\tReview the entire General Ledger for each property for completeness and accuracy.<br \/>\n\tPerform month and year-end procedures, e.g. raise accruals and prepayments, provide for depreciation\/amortization, etc.<br \/>\n\tReconcile general ledger accounts, e.g. fixed assets, investment property, lease &amp; tenant installation costs, etc. to supporting schedules.<br \/>\n\tObtain reasons for variances between the budgets and actuals from relevant stakeholders.<br \/>\n\tAttend each Portfolio meeting and provide assistance\/information to portfolio. managers and property managers to enable them to perform their function efficiently.<br \/>\n\tMaintain the fixed asset register where applicable.<\/p>\n<p>Interim period &amp; year end preparation<\/p>\n<p>\tCalculate the current and the deferred tax calculation, when required<br \/>\n\tDraft financial statements using Draftworx (annually).<br \/>\n\tReview the financial statements for accuracy.<br \/>\n\tAssist in generating the relevant reports to enable disclosures in the financial statements\/integrated report.<\/p>\n<p>Preparation for the annual audit<\/p>\n<p>\tPrepare the working papers required for the annual audit.<br \/>\n\tAttend to Auditor\u2019s questions and queries during the audit.<\/p>\n<p>Teamwork<\/p>\n<p>\t\u00a0Assist various stakeholders with adhoc finance related requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements<br \/>\nQualifications &amp; Experience:<\/p>\n<p>\tBCOM Financial degree with major in Accounting required.<br \/>\n\tCompleted Articles at an Audit Firm or Accounting Firm (SAICA, SAIPA) required.<br \/>\n\tAt least 2 -3 years\u2019 experience in a corporate environment.<br \/>\n\tExperience in management accounting, i.e. budgeting, monthly management accounts, forecasting required. \u00a0<br \/>\n\tExperience in drafting financial statements required (using Draftworx software).<br \/>\n\tExperience in Property an advantage.<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( http:\/\/www.cityproperty.co.za ) or<\/p>\n<p>cityproperty.mcidirecthire.com<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"http:\/\/cityproperty.mcidirecthire.com","_company_name":"City Property Administration (Pty) Ltd","_company_website":"http:\/\/www.cityproperty.co.za","_company_tagline":"City Property is a residential and commercial property management company which counts two listed property investment companies, Premium Properties and Octodec Investments, amongst its major clients, in addition to a large number of private clients.
