We are looking for an experienced Application Support Specialist with strong expertise in STARLIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) to provide high-level application support, maintenance, and troubleshooting services. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background and experience in system upgrades, configuration, and performance tuning within an enterprise environment.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tProvide end-to-end support and maintenance for STARLIMS, ensuring high availability and optimal performance of the system.
\n\tInstall, configure, and upgrade STARLIMS and related software components as required.
\n\tRespond to and resolve user support calls and incidents in a timely and effective manner.
\n\tDocument system configurations, support procedures, and standards; ensure regular review and updates.
\n\tPrepare systems and documentation for internal and external audits; address and resolve audit findings.
\n\tManage user access and application security including roles, privileges, and user provisioning.
\n\tMonitor application performance and perform tuning and optimization as needed.
\n\tParticipate in planning, designing, and implementing system changes and enhancements.
\n\tProvide technical troubleshooting and consult with internal development teams and stakeholders.
\n\tAct as the technical liaison with vendors and manufacturers for advanced issue resolution.
\n\tHandle patch management, version control, and ensure systems remain up to date.
\n\tSupport project delivery in alignment with scope, deadlines, and objectives.
\n\tMaintain a high level of availability for production support, including after-hours support when required.
\n\tPerform fault finding, root cause analysis, and proactive issue resolution.<\/p>\n
Required Skills & Experience:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 5\u20136 years of experience in application support, with at least 3 years working specifically with STARLIMS.
\n\tStrong understanding of system installation, configuration, and upgrade processes.
\n\tExperience in user support, documentation, and compliance standards.
\n\tProficient in application security, user role management, and privilege assignments.
\n\tSkilled in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.
\n\tExperience with patch management, version control, and vendor engagement.
\n\tSolid communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
\n\tExperience working in a regulated environment (e.g., healthcare, laboratory, pharma) is advantageous.
\n\tWillingness to provide 24×7 support as needed.<\/p>\n
Preferred Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
\n\tCertifications or training in STARLIMS or relevant LIMS platforms are a plus.
\n\tKnowledge of SQL, Windows Server, and system monitoring tools is beneficial.<\/p>\n
