A leading fintech company is seeking an Executive Head of Treasury to join their finance team and oversee the treasury operations. This role is based in Cape Town and will involve driving treasury strategy, managing global financial operations, and ensuring financial stability. As the Head of Treasury, you will be responsible for the strategic oversight of the company\u2019s treasury function, including cash management, risk management, and financial modelling.<\/p>\n
Key qualifications for the Head of Finance Treasury:<\/p>\n
\tQualified CA(SA) with 10 years of post-qualification experience
\n\t10+ years of experience in treasury operations, including significant leadership experience
\n\tStrong understanding of global treasury operations, foreign currency, and interest rate risk management
\n\tExperience in managing financial models and cash management systems
\n\tTreasury qualifications such as AMCT or MCT (Preferred)
\n\tExperience in the fintech or financial services sectors (Preferred)<\/p>\n
Key duties for the Head of Finance Treasury include but are not limited to:<\/p>\n
\tLead the treasury function across the organization, overseeing cashflow forecasting, liquidity planning, and risk management
\n\tDevelop and implement financial models to support strategic decision-making related to investments, cash management, and capital structure
\n\tMonitor and manage the company\u2019s global cash position to ensure liquidity aligns with business objectives
\n\tOversee debt and credit facilities, maintaining relationships with external financial institutions to secure necessary services
\n\tProvide regular, insightful reports on treasury operations to senior leadership and key stakeholders
\n\tLead and inspire a high-performance treasury team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning
\n\tOptimize working capital management to support the company\u2019s growth, while effectively managing financial risks
\n\tDevelop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate foreign currency and interest rate risks, ensuring compliance with financial regulations
\n\tSupport the scaling of treasury operations and the launch of new products to align with the company\u2019s strategic growth
\n\tCollaborate with other departments, ensuring treasury functions align with overall company objectives
\n\tEnsure adherence to financial regulations, implementing best practices within treasury operations
\n\tMonitor team performance, driving growth and development within the treasury function to meet key performance indicators (KPIs)<\/p>\n
