\tWe\u2019re looking for an Integration Software Engineer to join a large group in the financial services sector.
\n\tIn this role, you’ll lead the development of scalable, secure integration solutions and play a key role in designing architecture that supports our long-term growth. You\u2019ll also mentor junior team members, drive engineering best practices, and work across teams to deliver business-aligned solutions.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tDesign and develop integration solutions, APIs, and middleware between core business systems
\n\tLead integration architecture and ensure alignment with business requirements
\n\tTroubleshoot and resolve complex system integration issues
\n\tCollaborate across engineering, product, and DevOps teams to ensure reliable and scalable services
\n\tDrive CI\/CD adoption, system performance, and high availability
\n\tMentor team members and support continuous improvement<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tDegree in Computer Science or equivalent (NQF Level 7+)
\n\t5\u20138 years of experience in backend or integration-focused development
\n\tStrong in Java 8+, Spring Boot, Quarkus
\n\tDeep understanding of APIs, microservices, and RESTful services
\n\tProven experience with cloud platforms (especially AWS) and containerization (Docker)
\n\tKnowledge of integration patterns, event-driven architecture, and messaging systems
\n\tExperience with CI\/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps tools
\n\tSolid understanding of OOP, Functional Programming, and SOLID principles<\/p>\n
Tech Environment:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tJava 8+, Spring Boot, Quarkus
\n\tRESTful APIs & Microservices
\n\tAWS (SQS, SNS, EKS, RDS, ALB, ELK)
\n\tDocker, Git, Hibernate ORM, SQL (Oracle, MySQL)
\n\tCI\/CD, Test-Driven Development
\n\tEvent-Driven Architecture (advantageous)
\n\tAzure DevOps, OpenAPI 2.0, PL\/SQL (nice to have)<\/p>\n
