\n\tWe are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Finishing Operator to ensure the quality and service expectations of our external and internal customers are met within estimated performance expectations. \u00a0Responsible for slitting, rewinding and final quality control to specific customer requirements.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Role
\nIn this exciting and varied role, you will:<\/p>\n
\tOperation of Slitting machines in the production department.
\n\tAll administration and data capturing relevant to the job function.
\n\tWork according to the systems and procedures outlined in the company manuals (SOP\u2019s.)
\n\tResponsible for efficiently and effectively processing the job as per all SOP and customer requirements.
\n\tMaintain effective communication with QC Inspector and Production Shift Supervisor.
\n\tManage the systems and procedures outlined in the company manuals (SOP\u2019s.)
\n\tReport and manage equipment problems and coordinate the rectification with relevant departments\/ suppliers.
\n\tEngage in the support of all Departments and any other area of the business, as required.
\n\tReporting of defective labels and any job shortages to the QC Shift Inspector.
\n\tEnsuring that quality checks are carried out on all jobs during the slitting and rewinding process.
\n\tTo actively use the Electronic Vision Control systems fitted to certain Rewind Presses.
\n\tRequired to work shifts and overtime depending on the Production workload.
\n\tSafety: Engage in safe work practices and participate in addressing all safety risks.<\/p>\n
The Person
\nTo succeed in this role you will:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12
\n\tMinimum 3 years\u2019 experience working in a Production Department as a Slitter\/Rewinding Operator.
\n\tNarrow web, Label slitting & QC Experience.
\n\tWilling to work rotational shift<\/p>\n
