Job Description<\/p>\n
\tTo Implement the Information Management strategy and translate tactical strategy in actionable goals; to provide expertise in the design, development and maintenance of sourcing data and loading it into the data warehouse; and to design and develop strategy aligned, stakeholder responsive multi-dimensional insight tools (including but not limited to PowerBI, cubes, etc.) off the data warehouse in order to drive adoption and consumption of self-service insights and reporting.
\n\tInterpret the source to target mapping to be used to extract data from various sources.
\n\tConvert data into meaningful information that is stored in a data warehouse that can enhance the effectiveness of business decisions.
\n\tImplement the Information Management strategy aligned to Group Information Management (IM) Strategy and ensure execution of strategy and plans.
\n\tTranslate tactical business strategies into actionable goals and execute on relevant business intelligence (BI) projects \/ BI initiatives aligned to strategic objectives with specific performance measures and control systems to track progress.
\n\tAlign processes and systems to Group platform strategy and requirements.
\n\tDrive business profitability in the context of cost management through effective delivery of Business Intelligence solutions (time management and cost).
\n\tSupport and implement a cycle of medium-term improvements to drive profitability and strategic objectives through BI.
\n\tImplement suitable data management practices to ensure the quality and integrity of the information assets, including master data management.
\n\tEnsure ongoing efficiencies driven by a culture of sharing “build once and build for all” as well as leveraging tools built by other D&A teams via consumption or enhancements prior to new builds on D&A outcomes.
\n\tManage existing reports\/dashboards through ongoing production of MIS outputs to ensure consistent information supply in the required format\/frequency.
\n\tProvide additional insight into information produced for clients to ensure a value-added service to any information request to enhance business efficiencies.
\n\tInterpret the source to target mapping to be used to extract data from various sources.
\n\tConvert data into meaningful information that is stored in a data warehouse that can enhance the effectiveness of business decisions.
\n\tLiaise with relevant stakeholders to provide input into assigned projects, in line with business requirements within the required timeframe and specification.
\n\tLiaise with business on issues related to project and resolve accordingly.
\n\tDevelop business solution based on source to target mapping and business requirements specifications (BRS).
\n\tPerform unit testing.
\n\tEnsure involvement in the solution life cycle, which includes, designing, testing, implementing and validating the overall solution.
\n\tEvaluate against the delivery of solution according to the business case for the specific solution to ensure that the proposed benefits are realized.
\n\tShare knowledge and ideas into new or improved data product for the Business Intelligence environment.
\n\tProvide thought leadership and expertise in area of specialization.
\n\tImplement, monitor and control business processes according to quality standards; policy; and compliance and governance requirements in area of accountability.
\n\tEnsure the development, alignment, mapping and implementation of end-to-end processes aligned to the customer journey map.
\n\tResearch, enable and consult on improvements and opportunities to harness technology and platform enablement.
\n\tReview existing processes and suggest innovative ideas to improve and streamline processes to drive efficiencies and minimise redundancy.
\n\tMonitor customer feedback reports and align processes to maximise efficiencies.
\n\tEnsure compliance with relevant statutory, legislative, policy and governance requirements in area of accountability.
\n\tEnsure implementation of relevant policies, governance, and practice standards across the business.
\n\tMaintain knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and internal compliance procedures and requirements.
\n\tEnsure compliance is adopted in terms of systems and procedures as laid out by organisation and review in response to audit findings and changes.
\n\tDevelops an understanding of risks and risk management approaches.
\n\tImplement and provide input into the development of governance and compliance procedures and processes within area of specialisation and identify risks.
\n\tEducates others and makes suggestions for improvements.
\n\tNetworks and participates in specialist risk forums where required.
\n\tProvide input into the development of the business area tactical strategy in achievement of the overall business strategy.
\n\tDevelop and implement an area operational plan in achievement of Business objectives.
\n\tDevelop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships across area of specialization.
\n\tEnsure full understanding of customer needs to deliver a quality service.
\n\tPropose ideas to improve customer service.
\n\tParticipate in planned activities that are appropriate for own development.
\n\tControl expenditure and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs.
