Duties include but are not limited to:<\/p>\n
\tProviding academic support and development to SACAP\u2019s students
\n\tActing as a point of contact for all academic support and development needs
\n\tResponding to and resolving student queries within the\u00a0stipulated time frames
\n\tInvolved in termly orientation per new cohort
\n\tMonitoring student academic performance and engagement
\n\tTracking and documenting national academic support and development metrics
\n\tStudy plans and career guidance
\n\tAcademic one-on-one counselling
\n\tAwareness \/ advocacy campaigns re: academic issues
\n\tFacilitating peer support and peer-assisted learning
\n\tIdentifying at-risk students and tracking retention.
\n\tUtilizing SACAP\u2019s Student Management System in order to provide expert guidance to SACAP students.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES<\/p>\n
\tA minimum of an Honours degree qualification in the discipline of Counselling, Psychology, Coaching, Sociology, Human Resources, Business Management, Bachelor of Social Science or other degree qualification or other degree qualification;
\n\tat least 5-years\u2019 experience in a cognate field\u00a0with high academic results
\n\tAdvanced computer literacy skills, including online systems
\n\t2 years of full-time experience, preferably within the field of Higher Education.
\n\tAbility to observe, monitor, collect, and record student data.
\n\tKnowledgeable and passionate about SACAP and its offerings
\n\tHighly developed relationship building \/ interpersonal skills
\n\tExcellent written and spoken communication skills\u00a0<\/p>\n
