Conduct vetting investigations on all applicants, employees and external vendors to ensure that they are security cleared to company requirements<\/p>\n
\tReceive\u00a0pre-employment,\u00a0promotion\u00a0and\u00a0contractor\u00a0vetting\u00a0requests and record it on the prescribed spreadsheets.
\n\tConduct various\u00a0background\u00a0checks\u00a0on\u00a0all\u00a0applicants,\u00a0including (but not limited to)\u00a0criminal\u00a0record\u00a0verification, adverse financial records, SAFPS and REDS enquiries per agreed on timeframes.
\n\tEvaluate information received and make recommendations to the Vetting Manager.
\n\tFacilitate and capturing the\u00a0fingerprints\u00a0of\u00a0vetting\u00a0applicants.
\n\tEvaluate fingerprint results and make recommendations to the Vetting Manager.
\n\tSchedule interviews with candidates, references and relevant work references.
\n\tInterview\u00a0identified\u00a0personnel\u00a0and\/or\u00a0pre-employment\u00a0candidates\u00a0and\u00a0evaluate\u00a0information\u00a0obtained.
\n\tConduct\u00a0interviews\u00a0with\u00a0all\u00a0relevant\u00a0role\u00a0players\u00a0(references)\u00a0within\u00a0the\u00a0agreed\u00a0timeframe.
\n\tDetect potential risks through thorough evaluation and analysis of information gathered.
\n\tUpdate Vetting spreadsheets as per agreed timeframes.
\n\tWrite the Vetting report on all relevant risks, possible threats and concerns identified during the investigation.
\n\tPresent recommendations upon all the information gathered, that indicates a possible threat or risk to the company.
\n\tSchedule and conduct follow-up interviews as per investigative requirements<\/p>\n
Truth Verification Tests (TVT) (Polygraph and Voice Stress tests)<\/p>\n
\tTimeously\u00a0schedule\u00a0TVT\u2019s with\u00a0the candidate.
\n\tConduct\u00a0TVT\u2019s according\u00a0to\u00a0policy\u00a0and\u00a0procedure and legislation.
\n\tCompile TVT report as per the prescribed processes and notify Vetting Manager and HR Officers of the outcome of the tests.
\n\tSchedule and execute follow-up tests where the investigation deems it necessary.<\/p>\n
Provide input into the development and implementation of policies, guidelines, norms, and standards in vetting investigations, including:<\/p>\n
\tAssist the Vetting Manager in the identification of possible risks or threats and implementing\u00a0a preventive investigation program.
\n\tSupport and communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders to create and maintain long-term relationships.<\/p>\n
Reporting<\/p>\n
\tCollect and submit vetting related documents to and from external and internal stakeholders and service providers. All documents must be saved as per SBV policies and guidelines.
\n\tPresent recommendations to management if\u00a0the\u00a0applicant\u2019s\u00a0security\u00a0clearance\u00a0is\u00a0not\u00a0recommended\u00a0or it is withdrawn, and a review is requested.
\n\tKeep\u00a0records\u00a0updated\u00a0on\u00a0an\u00a0ongoing\u00a0basis.\u00a0
\n\tParticipate in team\u00a0meetings\u00a0to\u00a0discuss\u00a0new\u00a0trends,\u00a0issues,\u00a0work\u00a0related\u00a0concerns,\u00a0do\u00a0follow-ups, and give positive input to resolve issues.

Requirements<\/p>\n
Work Experience<\/p>\n
\t4\u00a0years\u2019\u00a0experience in vetting investigations.
\n\tCrime scene investigation (advantageous).
\n\t2 years\u2019 Polygraph\/\u00a0Voice\u00a0Stress\u00a0Examiner\u00a0experience\u00a0(advantageous).
\n\tComputer\u00a0Literacy:\u00a0Microsoft\u00a0Office\u00a0Experience including (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12.
\n\t3-year National Higher Diploma or Degree in Human\/Social Sciences (advantageous).
\n\tCompleted vetting course through recognized institution (SAPS, SANDF, SSA).<\/p>\n
